Here is a great opportunity to try stitching on silk gauze. Cut to a small size and mounted on acid-free paper mat board, these pieces are a perfect way to begin. Available in 18, 32 and 40 count mesh sizes. Specify mesh size when ordering.

SILK GAUZE
About 39.5 inches wide, available in 1/4, 1/2 and 1 yard pieces. Silk Gauze is lovely material for stitching petite point and miniature articles of needlework. Woven of pure silk, it has a delicate translucent ethereal appearance, yet it makes a strong wonderful ground fabric for all kinds of stitchery.

18 COUNT GARMENT CANVAS - 40 inches wide $46.00/yard
This soft, light-weight drapable canvas is great for making wearable needleart. It contains no sizing and therefore prewashing is not required. It can be painted, screen printed or transfer printed. Strong enough to stand up to the most demanding types of stitchery, it is not bulky and lends itself to applique on other types of fabric.
