 Tips and Tricks

 For best results, use shorter lengths and to maintain the twist and shine as you stitch. 

As with all silks, snagging the fiber is common.  There are several things you can do to minimize thread damage. 

• Always use a new needle.  Surprisingly the eye of the needle can get barbs over time that will snag your thread.
• Rough hands?  Use a stitching lotion and keep your fingers smooth
• Always tape the edges of your canvas
• If using wooden stretcher bars, make sure there are no rough areas that will snag your thread.
