Fiber Details:

• Boucle is a synthetic fiber with a two-ply base and two other plies woven in and out to produce the knotty appearance.  Single stand of four-ply thread, which is intended to be used “as is”. 
• Hand-dyed fiber which showcases the texture of the thread
• 100% Rayon
• 103 shaded/variegated colors
• Excellent for bark, leaves, pine needles, bushes, foam in surf using long stitches.

Tips and Tricks:

Stitch with a slightly larger needle to widen the canvas hole and reduce thread drag. Do not drag this yarn across the canvas. The effect of this yarn is more pronounced with long stitches.  It is impossible to stitch short stitches like basketweave, continental, etc. as you would completely lose the beauty of this thread.

This thread often catches leaving loops on the back of your work, so be careful to use shorter strands and keep track of how long your thread is so you are pulling it all the way to the front of your canvas.  

Recommended Use:

18 mesh use one strand.  More challenging to use on 18 mesh, but worth the effort to create dramatic shadows and 3-dimensional effects. 

13 mesh use one strand.  Stitches nicely on 13 mesh
